Victoria Melody tells the tale of how an unlikely pair of underdogs rose to become a beauty queen and a championship show dog, in Major Tom – at the Nuffield’s The Studio on April 22 and 23.

Having discovered Major Tom had prize-winning potential after entering him in a charity dog show, Victoria seized the opportunity to enter the exclusive world of championship dog showing – and put herself through the same scrutiny by setting out to win a real beauty pageant.

As the culmination of their research, Major Tom competed in this year’s Crufts competition and Victoria, having already won the title ‘Mrs Brighton’, is going to the ‘Mrs England’ beauty pageant.

In Major Tom, both Victoria and her dog tell audiences their story, reflecting on those familiar British fascinations with celebrities, beauty and winning.
