Around 45 Bitterne Park School students will pay a visit to Sainsbury's Portswood in June to learn more about fair trade, and sample fairly-traded products.
Students will also visit the in-store bakery and other counters to "receive training from the departments and learn from our skilled bakers," said Sainsbury's.
Sainsbury's Portswood store manager Pete Harriman said: "We're proud to be the biggest retailer of Fairtrade products and we're always looking for ways in which we can further raise awareness to our community about the benefits of supporting Fairtrade."
Amy Ellingham, Business Development Manager at Fairtrade, said: "Our 'Go Further' campaign gives people across the UK the chance to support farmers and workers in the developing world to make a sustainable living. It's fantastic that colleagues at Sainsbury's Portswood are supporting Fairtrade by holding a themed-day"
