A micro pub – 'The Butcher's Hook Ale House' – could pop up at Manor Farm Road (formerly Tiger Lily's florist). Micro pubs "use vacant local retail spaces to create a vibrant social hub for the community whilst helping to bring extra trade to the surrounding businesses".

Tiger Lily's florist and a picture framing shop previously traded from the premises, but they were once a traditional butcher's shop, and premises licence applicant Anthony Nicholls says original features would be retained so customers can enjoy the interesting space.
"We will be serving locally micro brewed ales, traditional ciders, a small selection of high quality spirits and traditional soft drinks for the discerning local customer."
- The application (Ref 2013/01185/01SPRN) is to sell alcohol daily from 12:00 - 23:00. Comment can be made by June 18. The council's Public Access online system wasn't available at the time of writing so we couldn't provide a link.
