Pedal On in Bitterne Park

bike doctorWhere in Bitterne Park can you go these summer holidays to see a bike doctor, get your kids to bling their bike, have a go on a bouncy castle, make your own smoothie, try out a Babboe (cargo) or electric bike, and practise your cycling agility skills – all for FREE?? Pic: Guy Phillips

Riverside Park is the answer, on Monday, August 19 from 3-7pm.

The event is Pedal On UK, one of a series run by Sustrans which celebrates dozens of new walking and cycling networks, and which aims to "reignite the spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic torch relays".

The event will also see in a team of riders coming from Hastings on the south-east leg of a cycling tour.

"So bring your bike (or just your feet), your friends and family, a picnic blanket, and come on down for a fantastic day out from 3-7pm at Riverside Park (by Cobden Bridge and the model railway - which will be running on the day for just 50p a ticket!)" say organisers.

Location: Riverside Park, Southampton, SO18 1NQ
