The booklet will people who attended the school from the period of 1960 to 2003.

The aim of the event is to gather information for the booklet, which will cover 1960 to 2003, and the Group are asking people to bring their old photographs, which can be copied on the night by Mount Pleasant Media Workshop.

Bitterne Local History Society will be there with historical information and memorabilia about Southampton that they have collected over the years

All ex-pupils, ex-staff and parents of ex-pupils are invited to come along and contribute to this event.

Cathy O’Leary, Community Development Worker at Southampton City Council said: "The group want to hear your stories and see your pictures; they are hoping that lots of people will want to take a trip down memory lane.

"Before Woodlands Community School was demolished to make way for the new School in July 2003 a performance was held based on what ex-pupils and staff had already recorded and 98 people turned up to see it and to have a final tour round the old school."

Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture at the city council, Councillor Steve Sollitt said: "This is a great opportunity for ex staff and pupils to meet up with old friends and become part of history. I hope many attend and join in the fun."
