Million dollar talk at Café Scientific

Café Scientific's talk this month at the South Western Arms in St Denys has the intriguing title ‘Fermat's Last Theorem and a million dollars’.

A quick glance at Wikipedia tells us that  “in number theory, Fermat's Last Theorem (sometimes called Fermat's conjecture, especially in older texts) states that no three positive integers a, b, and c can satisfy the equation an + bn = cn for any integer value of n greater than two.”

Of course.

But where do the million dollars come in to it? No doubt all will be revealed, on Monday, October 14 from 7pm, at a talk with Dr Jim Anderson.
