Transition Southampton has relaunched its bulk-buy fruit tree scheme, which passes savings on to local people.

This year the following are available to purchase:
- Apple trees (1yr old) for £8. The 3 varieties on offer are: Crimson bramley, Laxton superb and Lord lambourne
- Stella cherry tree (2 yr old) for £10.
- Conference pear tree (2 yr old) for £10.
- Blackcurrant bush for £5.
- Blueberry bush for £8.
“Our main focus is to help people live a little more sustainably and to bring communities together and enjoy having fruit trees in their neighbourhood,” project organiser Polly Whyte previously commented about the scheme.
The deadline for orders is December 31, and orders will be ready for collection on February 8, 2014.
