Police are linking what they’re describing as two attempted burglaries, one in Richmond Gardens, Portswood, and another in River Walk near Forest Hills Drive in Townhill Park. {!jomcomment}
The first was around 2.30pm when a man heard banging at the door of his home in Richmond Gardens.
Opening the door, he was confronted by three men, one with a crowbar, who said: “Wrong house” before turning and walking off with the other two.
The man with the crowbar is described as white, stocky, and 45-50 years of age. He had bushy eyebrows and wore dark clothing.
At about 3.30pm the same day three men forced their way into a woman’s home in River Walk, Townhill Park. The woman challenged the intruders, who left, walking up Forest Hills Drive.
All three men are said to have been white, speak with foreign accents and were wearing green and cream khaki clothing. All wore caps.
Police say nothing was taken and no one was injured in either incident.
Detectives are appealing for information from people who were in either area at the times of the incidents, and particularly want to hear from anyone who saw a group of three men walking in Richmond Gardens or River Walk or anyone who saw a group of three men getting into a vehicle in either area just before or after the two incidents.
