Recycle Xmas cards at Sainsbury's

ImageUntil Tuesday, January 14, Portswood Sainsbury’s customers can recycle their Christmas cards in a collection box at the front of the store, and online customers can have their cards collected when groceries are delivered.

Sainsbury’s says all of the collected cards will be recycled and a donation to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) will be made based on the weight of the cards collected.

This year, over 1100 stores including Portswood will be taking part in the initiative.

Rosie Teasdale, Deputy Director, FSC UK said: “Sainsbury’s annual campaign and donation supports our education and awareness-raising work, helping us to help people in the UK protect the world’s forests for future generations.”
