Audio: Butcher’s Hook opens Friday

Dan Richardson Anthony Nicholls butchers hook thumb Bitterne Park Triangle’s new micro pub, The Butcher’s Hook Ale House, is finally preparing to open on Friday (Feb 28). We popped in to chat with Dan Richardson (left) and Anthony Nicholls about their inspiration, their restoration work – and of course beer!

We hope it’s not for good, but as one Bitterne Park pub closes in 2014, another – somewhat smaller – ale house is preparing to open.

There’s been a huge interest in The Butcher’s Hook since the imaginative idea of opening a micro pub in an empty Triangle shop was first made public. And for anyone who’s been keeping an eye on developments and looking forward to enjoying a glass at the Triangle, the wait is almost over.
