Former Bitterne Park student makes her mark

Emma BatchelorHot on the heels of A grade success at A Level and a stunning performance at Barton Peveril’s recent fashion show, former Bitterne Park pupil Emma Batchelor (19) has reached the finals of Eastleigh’s ENLIVEN Fashion Project.

The Foundation Art Diploma student is one of two Barton Peveril artists selected for the prestigious project which celebrates local emerging design talent. ENLIVEN finalists work with the local charity sector to create one-of-a-kind fashion collections using clothing and other items sourced from charity stores.

Emma has also had her work exhibited in London recently as part of the 2014 Spring Knitting and Stitching Show held at Olympia. Her golden swan origami piece (below) was among just 20 garments shortlisted from hundreds of entries for the National Fashion Textiles Competition.
