Bank holiday open day at Townhill Park House Gardens

townhill park house gardens 2014A classic car display, beautiful bluebells, wafting jazz, Regency dancing and huge portions of cake were all on offer at Townhill Park House Gardens on bank holiday Monday.

The building dates from 1790 and was re-designed in 1911 for Louis Montagu, second Baron Swaythling. It was used as a convalescent home for wounded soldiers during World War II, and today it’s the home of the Gregg School, with gardens lovingly restored by The Friends of Townhill Park House Gardens. You can see pics of the dancing on Facebook.
