Pigs to race in Bitterne Park

Pig racing comes to Bitterne Park on November 17.

Pic racingNo, the races won’t be in Riverside Park, but instead involve betting on mechanical pigs racing on a track at Bitterne Park Social Club.

“Pig racing is a great night's entertainment for all the family,” says organiser Kim Garner. “Mechanical piggies race round a track; you can bet on the first over the finish line and become an 'owner' by 'buying' a pig for a race.  The kids can join in by starting off the races and cheer on the winner. This is a new twist on popular horse racing nights, its incredible fun with the chance to win some money!”

The Pig Grand National takes place at Bitterne Park Social Club, 76 Manor Farm Road on November 17. Bitterne Park Social Club is a CIU affiliated members' club. Phone 023 8067 1055
