Vintage family fun at Bedford Place on Sunday

Saints FA Cup Tour Cobden Bridge

Weekender The Bedford Place Vintage Family Festival is on Sunday, June 22 from 10am-4pm, as traders mark 50 years of Southampton’s city status. The event includes vintage stalls, the Hampshire Farmers’ Market, and vintage vehicles including the 1976 FA cup tour bus, pictured above. © Image copyright Bill Pidgeon

Tunes of the 1920s played on 78s from the Still Moving DJs on their windup gramophone players and dancing from the Lindy Club are also on the agenda.

But is there any truth to the rumour that well-known Bitterne Park figure Ann MacGillivray will be playing the role of bus inspector on the bus that toured the city celebrating Saints’ '76 FA cup win? We really couldn’t say.
