Cobden Avenue: Where’s the post?

“I’m waiting for an important letter from the tax office, my son is waiting for information about registering at his college in the next week, and my wife’s business is also being affected. Who knows what else hasn’t arrived since last Tuesday,” said Mike Hall, who’s only received Special Delivery packages and letters delivered by private companies.

Having failed get through on the phone, he visited Bitterne Manor Delivery Office to find out what’s going on, and says he’s now having to make a return visit to “let management know the scale of the problem.”

Writing on our Facebook page, Sally Hipwell-Doe said: "I live in Cobden ave and also have had no post - and know of letters due. I've even sent a test letter to myself and someone in another area. Mine is still to arrive - but theirs came days ago!"
