The streets of and venues of Southampton will be alive with the sound of Music in the City this weekend (Oct 4/5), providing a welcome opportunity to check out a wide array of great performers in locations that the public don’t often get to see.
Alongside established venues such as The Platform Tavern and Mettricks, acts will be performing in Guildhall Square and a number of the city’s vaults and medieval buildings such as God’s House Tower and The Weigh House.
With local favourites Sombrero Fallout, Southampton Ukulele Jam, Radioactive Bones, Accrington Stanley, Botyov 1791 and many more appearing, there is something for everyone .
All the events are free, and there are even free vintage buses between the venues. Find more details including the full line-up, locations and times at www.musicinthecitysouthampton.org/mitc-2014/
