Fun at the fayre

applesFriends of Cobbett Road Library hold their Autumn Fayre on Saturday, October 18 with attractions ranging from storytelling and face painting to bread making and apple pressing.

The Community Room is set to come alive with storytelling, face painting, bread making for kids, and locally produced chutneys, jams and cakes on sale, as well as a bee expert and honey tasting.

There’ll be competitions too: who can make the longest apple peel, and guessing the pumpkins’ weight.

And Woodcraft Folk will be there with their apple press – bring your apples and make some juice!
