Following our report of one reader's recent encounter with a stag at Riverside Park, Tony Bunday – who's often in the park "with dog and camera with long lens" – sends these remarkable photos of deer taken in June, looking across the river from Riverside Park.

Presumably the deer cross the river from time to time at low tide.
As Tony remarks, "Quite a surprise to see them so bold. Usually only spot them deep in the trees if at all."
