Airport trumpets continued expansion
Southampton Airport is celebrating a 4.1% increase in passengers and says it expects to pass the 2 million passenger milestone in the latter part of the year. But residents opposing expansion have expressed concern about local communities and the environment.
While airport MD Chris Butler thanked airport staff for their dedication, Airport Pressure Group chair Mary Finch told bitternepark.info: “Obviously this is not good for local people and the local environment, and hopefully people will continue to support us in our fight to get fair play for all those who have to live with what comes out of Southampton International Airport.”
