Bitterne Park Hotel re-opening following refurb

bitterneparkhotellogoThe Bitterne Park Hotel is due to re-open on Monday (Feb 23) following a £180K refurbishment, with an 'official' celebration for the re-opening on March 6. Despite rumours it was to become a Wetherspoons, bitternepark.info understands it will continue to be owned by Enterprise Inns and run under existing management.

Previously we reported that the whole of the downstairs was to be refurbished, retaining two bars, with the pool room becoming a breakfast room, and a back lounge becoming the pool room.

Last year the pub was listed by Southampton City Council as a community asset, giving the community a chance to bid on, and buy the property should owner Enterprise Inns ever decide to sell.

There will be karaoke on Monday, and a band and DJ for the 'official' opening on March 6.
