Library: Denham supports campaigners

John Denham MP at library

Library users of all ages gave their views about the Council’s proposed closure of Cobbett Road library when John Denham MP visited. Asked about the most effective way of lobbying, he replied: “Write to councillors — and don’t rely on someone else to write.” He also suggested attending councillors’ surgeries where possible. Pictured: Jeremy Crandon (2), handing John Denham a letter of protest against the proposed closure. Jeremy visits the library at least once a week.
