Ekco Radio sign 'won't be visible long term'

EKCO radio Talking about the Ekco Radio advertisement facing Cobden Bridge, developer McCarthy & Stone has said “long term the old marketing sign will not be visible”.

Scaffolding has recently been erected in front of the sign, but it emerged that this was for work on the fish and chip shop roof, and unconnected with the retirement development.

McCarthy & Stone said “pre-commencement” work is underway on its site, and the full build will start in November.

It had previously said construction on 51 one- and two-bedroom apartments for the over 60s would start in March.
