Plenty of children's theatre in store at Nuffield

ladybird-012The author of the How to Train Your Dragon series Cressida Cowell will visit Nuffield on September 16, followed by a stage adaptation of Julia Donaldson & Lydia Monks’ What the Ladybird Heard (photo) on September 18 & 19.

Join the woolly sheep, the hairy hog, the fat red hen and the dainty dog as they take on the villains and win, in this stage adaptation of Julia Donaldson & Lydia Monks’ farmyard adventure. With live instrumental music, original songs, rhyming and repetition, this production could be the perfect family treat and the ideal introduction to theatre for pre and primary school children 3+.

how to fight a dragons furyNuffield’s upcoming Autumn/Winter 2015/16 season of theatre and events for children also features an event with best-selling writer and illustrator Cressida Cowell. Cowell will visit Nuffield on September 16 to talk about the last book in the popular How to Train Your Dragon series entitled How to Fight a Dragon’s Fury, which will be followed by the chance for the audience to have copies of the book signed.

The season also features a line up of Saturday children’s theatre from a host of acclaimed companies including Sea Legs Puppet Theatre, Hand to Mouth Theatre, and the Pied Piper Theatre Company.
