Bus company First has announced it's changing the timetable of its route 13 following consultations with a local school and residents in Harefield.

First says from January 4, 2016 Service 13, which runs between Southampton city centre and Harefield via Bitterne, will provide journeys earlier in the morning until later in the day with extra afternoon services – although it will remain at its mainly 60-minute frequency.

Before September it ran every 20 minutes.

A petition was launched in September calling on First to revoke timetable changes to its service 13, which caused problems with children getting to school and people getting to work.: particular concern to Townhill and Harefield residents.
