Police report a robbery at a Bitterne betting shop in which a man made off with £4,000.

They say the offender threatened a Betfred staff member on December 3 with an iron bar, jumped over the counter and filled his pockets with cash before making off through a fire exit.

The offender's described at white, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, and average build. He was wearing distinctive orange gloves but had his face covered.
