Want to be a Bitterne Park newshound?

LisaIf your resolution for 2016 is to become more creative or more active in the community, then perhaps you'd like to become a Bitterne Park newshound, and sniff out a story or two? Or perhaps you'd like to help us improve our coverage in other ways?

If you'd like to see bitternepark.info expand its coverage, and have a little (or a lot of) time to spare, then why not get involved? We spend hours keeping the site up to date and covering a range of local and city-wide topics, but it would always be great to do more.

Whether you're interested in taking on a particular subject – music, history, or kids' stuff for example – or whether you prefer taking pics, would like to interview people, or generally compile or edit information, there are flexible opportunities to get involved, either regularly or just once in a while.

Unfortunately it does have to be voluntary*, but you will have the satisfaction of helping to make the site more useful for our many readers. It could also be a great thing to add to your CV – especially if you're a budding journalist, writer, or just want to get into or return to work.

And we may be able to offer some training, depending on your needs.

If this sounds like you, then do get in touch by email or phone on 023 8001 8612 in the first instance, and we'll take it from there.

We look forward to hearing from you

* Unless you're interested in freelance advertising sales, in which case please also contact us.
