Southampton Action have put out an urgent appeal for specific food items to go to refugees in Calais and northern France, and hold a donation event on April 2.
Items can be donated on Saturday, April 2 at City Life Church, Swaythling Methodist Church, 286 Burgess Road, Soutampton from 1-5pm.
ONLY the following items are being requested – others won't be accepted:
- Tins of tomatoes, tuna and kidney beans (ring pull only)
- Bags of sugar
- Bags of rice
- Breakfast bars
The group is also collecting:
- Sleeping bags
- Toiletries
- Kitchen utensils and equipment
to go to France and for refugees and asylum seekers in Southampton.
