Urgent appeal for food items

kidney beansSouthampton Action have put out an urgent appeal for specific food items to go to refugees in Calais and northern France, and hold a donation event on April 2.

 

Items can be donated on Saturday, April 2 at City Life Church, Swaythling Methodist Church, 286 Burgess Road, Soutampton from 1-5pm.

ONLY the following items are being requested – others won't be accepted:

  • Tins of tomatoes, tuna and kidney beans (ring pull only)
  • Bags of sugar
  • Bags of rice
  • Breakfast bars

The group is also collecting:

  • Sleeping bags
  • Toiletries
  • Kitchen utensils and equipment

to go to France and for refugees and asylum seekers in Southampton.
