Closing the path and rerouting it around the field will be a way the school can proceed with its plan to enclose this part of Riverside Park mainly for its own use.

The previous order went to the Planning Inspectorate because there were 148 objections.

As reported, it was rejected partly because maps were apparently not to the right scale.

According to the latest notice, representations can be made to Southampton City Council by writing to the Service Director, Legal and Goverance (ref CB/EP05/00/0088), or, we understand, by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The order appears to have been advertised in the Daily Echo.
