Plans are reportedly afoot to convert the former Portswood Road Surgery, opposite Trago Lounge, into another micropub, according to Hop Press magazine.
There's currently an application for a premises licence for a business called Tramstop Bar at 186-188 Portswood Road.
The property already has class D1 planning permission for restaurant or café use.
Hop Press says Tramstop "plan to be a food-led bar but with provision to serve up to six real ales at busy times".

Just like London buses, an article in Southern Hampshire Campaign for Real Ales' periodical Hop Press suggests, first there are no micropubs, and then there could well be five in Southampton.
It lists the original Butcher's Hook in Bitterne Park, Overdraft in Shirley, the Bookshop Alehouse also in Portswood near the junction of Bevois Valley and Lodge Road (pictured), and apparently there are also plans for a micropub in Woolston.
Elsewhere the Hop Press also gives the thumbs up for The Dolphin in St Denys: “So next time you hear about a pub being unviable just remember this example of how a pub can be completely changed round with the right people in charge. So congratulations to Steven Wicken, Inez Williams and all their staff for making this pub such a success,” it says.
