Have your say on your rights of way

Southampton City Council is urging residents to have their say about improving the rights of way network in the city. The aim is to identify where improvements can be made to the public rights of way network, including access to areas of recreational open space and the waterside.

A draft improvement plan has been produced which can be viewed on the councils web pages, at libraries in the city or in Gateway at the Civic Centre. Drop in sessions will be held in each of the five neighbourhood partnership areas. The session for the east area takes place at Woodlands Community College, Minstead Avenue on Thursday May 24, 1-4pm.

David Blakeway, Right of Way Officer, Southampton City Council said: "We would like residents to view the draft plan and then give their feedback to us so we can produce a final plan. The rights of way network and areas of recreational open space are for everyone in Southampton so everyone has the right to get involved."

Feedback can be given in writing, email, or online:
