Townhill Park House and Gardens open to the public on Sunday (Sept 11) for tours, as part of this year’s Heritage Open Days, which offer the chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences for free.

Built in 1856, Townhill Park House was once owned by Lord Swaythling and is now The Gregg School (pupils will conduct the tours).
There are also 23 acres of grounds, including gardens designed by Gertrude Jekyll and renovated by the Friends of the Gardens.

Access is via Atlantic Park View off Townhill Way, not Cutbush Lane
Opening: Sunday, September 11, 2pm – 5pm (last tour at 4pm)
Access: ground floor access to the property and full access to the gardens
