“With the impacts of climate change increasing, and concerns about air and water pollution in Southampton, it’s a very important topic at the moment. I believe we need to focus on what we can do to make things better, and the events during the week should provide a thought-provoking, entertaining and interesting way to do this.”

Some of the highlights include:
  • Tours of an energy-efficient ‘superhome’;
  • Eco-friendly boat trips;
  • Talks on renewable energy, the dreaded Hinkley point C, recycling and reducing your carbon emissions;
  • A tour of a local, community-owned, solar farm;
  • A film screening about permaculture (basically, a lazy method of gardening).
