Midanbury Post Office is to close for a fortnight, from Tuesday, October 18 until Tuesday, November 1, for refurbishment work.

The branch will apparently undergo a complete revamp, and will be upgraded to be a ‘main style’ branch, able to offer additional services and longer opening hours: currently the branch is open Mondays to Fridays from 9am – 5.30pm; after the refurbishment it will be open for half an hour longer, until 6pm on weekdays, and until 3pm on Saturdays.
