Writing on the group’s Kickstarter page, SUJ leader Colin McUke said the Jam were blown away by how quickly they’d reached their initial target, which will fund a film looking at:
- Who are the Jam?
- Why do people join?
- Why do people stay?
- What is it about SUJ that makes it so special?
“We are now considering what more we can do,” he said. “More backing means more time to film, more time to edit, more finance to pay people for their time and skills.
“And especially… more money to make our premiere bigger and better to reward you lovely backers, celebrate our fantastic community and (most importantly?) use the event to support local charities and the wonderful work they do.
“Lets see how big we can make this! Thank you - keep going - share - support - boast about your part in this amazing thing.”
