Barnardo’s have said that they don’t know when their Bitterne Park Triangle charity shop will reopen, following structural damage inside.

It’s thought the Triangle's only charity shop has now remained closed for around nine weeks, although people continue to leave donations outside the door.
Damage
A Barnardo’s spokesperson told bitternepark.info: “Structural damage inside the building has meant that the store has been closed for the safety of our store team, customers and donors. At this stage we do not know when the store will re-open, but we hope supporters will continue to donate and shop at our other stores in the area including Shirley and Bitterne Village.”
Footfall
Terry Hackett, co-owner of Il Picchio café, which is opposite, said he hoped the shop would reopen soon because he thought the closure was affecting footfall for other Triangle traders.
He said it was one of the few Triangle shops where people could come and browse and actually buy things, and it was a valued part of the community.
