Raffle raises cash for Basics Bank

pat wyles with prizeA prize raffle in aid of the Basics Bank, which serves local people in crisis, and a group hoping to produce Christian films, raised around £115 at the weekend.

Organised by Andy Rowlands, tickets were sold in various local shops including the Co-op and Tesco, with the draw held at the Bitterne Park Hotel.

Local businesses donated a range of prizes, from rideride’s bicycle pump – won by Chris Newman, to an Argos voucher, and even a five-day pass to Spirit Health Club at a Holiday Inn.

Andy says some prizes remain unclaimed.
