Charlie's chip shop at the Triangle reopened on Friday lunchtime (Jan 27) after around 12 days of lost business due to problems with drains.

The shop had to close for health and safety reasons as the basement, where chips are prepared, had been affected.
"The last two days we've spent cleaning and sorting it out," said owner Lee Nicholson. "It is so nice to get back open, because I've had a lot of people phoning up, wishing us well, and leaving messages on our website, so it's just nice to be back open and get back out there."
Lee said that investigations into the exact cause of the problem were ongoing.
