Power problems in Bitterne Park

plug Updated: Power supplies were reduced or cut on Sunday (Feb 12) in the SO18 area affecting properties on several local roads.

At 12.06pm Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks tweeted that customers could be experiencing low voltage, and that engineeres were on site and aimed to have the issue resolved by 1.30pm.

 

Readers on our Facebook page said they knew of power issues in Oaktree Road, Ashtree Road, Manor Farm Road, and “Woodmill and Dimond Road”.

Power was said to have been restored by 1.55pm

A Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks later told bitternepark.info:

"At 11:24am on Sunday 12 February, Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks was made aware of a power cut in the Bittern Park area.

“Engineers attended to find a faulty fuse, which was replaced so that all 49 customers affected by the outage had their power restored within 50 minutes.

“SSEN apologises for any inconvenience this outage may have caused and thank their customers for their patience while they worked to restore their power.”
