Plans are taking shape for Riverfest, a celebration of the river taking place around Riverside Park on Saturday, May 27. We caught up with organiser Catherine Wright to find out what’s on the cards.
You can listen to our interview with Catherine using the player below (approx 12 mins).
From a music stage with around 20 local performers, a spoken word tent, a puppet theatre, maritime archaeology, Lego, a special song for the day, wading, boating, cycling, arts and crafts, a special run – maybe even roller skating and all sorts of other surprises, it sounds like there will be plenty for all at Riverfest.
Might we also see an appearance of the poo barge? At this stage, it seems it's just too early to say, but listen to our chat with organiser Catherine Wright, who explains what’s in the pipeline, and how you can still get involved.
