In the Southampton Itchen constituency, which includes the Bitterne Park ward, there are five candidates, representing the Liberal Democrats, Labour Party, Green Party, UKIP and the Conservative Party.

Unlike Test, in which the Green candidate has withdrawn and UKIP aren’t standing, in Itchen candidates for both parties will again be on the ballot paper on June 8.

Hustings
We hope to be bringing you some information about each candidate ahead of the election on bitternepark.info, and there are also two hustings events for Itchen candidates coming up (unless you know of more?).

Another is at Above Bar Church, 69 Above Bar Street SO14 7FE on Tuesday, May 23 7.30-10pm. The church says on its Facebook event page:

Our Chairman, Prof Francis Davis, will then select some of these and we will ask you to put your question to the candidates in ‘Question Time’ style. There will be limited opportunity to submit questions on the night, but in order to make best use of our time, we encourage you to submit questions ahead of time.”
We believe neither event is ticketed.
