Love Parks Week, now in its 11th year, is Britain’s biggest celebration of these valuable spaces.
This #LoveParks Week, as many people as possible are being encouraged to go out and enjoy their local park, to take a photo, video or simply post on social media, using the hashtag #LoveParks, telling the world why they love their park.
Using a hoped-for “tide of public support”, with people sharing how much parks matter to them and why, environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy says it will campaign to secure the quality of parks for future generations to enjoy.
“Get involved… It’s easy! … simply visit your local park, take a photo and share the reason why you love it on social media using the hashtag #LoveParks. We’ll also be retweeting and sharing our favourites on the Keep Britain Tidy social media channels,” says the charity on its website.
