Houseboat planning proposals up for decision

whitworth crescent street sceneA change is being sought to houseboat planning permission conditions on the riverside plot in Whitworth Crescent known locally as Glass Island.

Land owners are seeking to adjust the specified size of vessels that can be moored there and change the configuration of pontoons that need to be provided.

Several local people have lodged objections to the plans, full details of which can be seen on the city council planning website.

The application is currently listed on the council’s website as “awaiting decision”.
