Updated: Newcomer to the Triangle The Flower Boutique opened this week in the premises previously occupied by popular charity shop Barnardo’s, but the number of empty Triangle units could be growing.
Barnardo’s closed for good in the autumn of 2016.
Pamela Aflaki, who owns The Flower Boutique with her husband, said they were relocating from a similar shop in Woolston which they’d run for six years.

She said their specialism is flowers and dresses for special occasions, and that they’ve already taken lots of orders for flowers since they’ve opened.
Tiger Lily was the last florist at the Triangle, in the premises now occupied by The Butcher’s Hook micro pub.
Mark Hamilton’s Creative Flowers, which opened in what then became Colours of Beauty (now empty), next door to Fruitopia (now rideride), closed in July 2010.
Meanwhile further empty units at the Triangle seem likely: Advanced Exterior Plastics looks set to quit its double shop in 2018 according to a window sign, above; photographer Rob Fry appears to have left and his shop (the former Paradise beauty salon) is currently available to let, and no business has yet opened in the former Colours of Beauty unit.
Update: final paragraph and intro about empty units added/edited.
