Thirty-five households completed and returned a recent Kent Road residents’ survey, with 94% reporting speeding, 83% reporting houses “shaking or vibrating”, 71% experiencing traffic noise during unsociable hours, and 43% reporting damage to property.
Various solutions have been suggested including: banning HGVs; introducing weight limits; better speed enforcement and other traffic calming measures; road repairs; and possible parking restrictions.
February’s meeting is set to include updates from local councillors, Galliford Try/Southern Water and the committee.
