Southampton City Council’s Air Quality Action Plan is available for
public consultation for eight weeks from the beginning of September.
The Council wants to improve air quality around the City, so it will: “tackle issues to increase the use of public transport, implement road traffic management, and improve standards of vehicle engines, along with improving the road and rail networks.” The Council says it will adopt a city-wide approach so that problems can be tackled together.
A copy of the Plan can be obtained from this page (the actual PDF file is here), or hard copies are available from the Civic Centre and city libraries.
Comments relating to the draft Air Quality Action Plan should be sent to: Helen Krzanowski Planning & Sustainability Division Southampton City Council Ground Floor Civic Centre Civic Centre Road Southampton SO14 7LS Telephone: 023 80 83 4649
A hard copy of the Plan can also be obtained by contacting Helen Krzanowski.
