In a statement, the school said its playground has been a focus for underage drinking, vandalism and drug taking in the summer months.
It said: “Recently, more advanced CCTV technology has enabled the school to clearly identify 19 young people who smashed glass across our Reception and Early Years play space and defaced furniture with racist remarks. The decision has been made to contact their schools and colleges and manage this between our respective institutions at this time.
Prosecution
“However, this cannot continue, therefore as a school, we have taken the decision that any further occurrences of vandalism or trespassing will result in us pressing for a prosecution.
“It is with sadness that we need to take this action and ask our local community for help; we therefore kindly request our local residents to think of the safety of all children and call the police if you see anyone trespassing on school property.”
If you have information you can contact the police by phoning 101. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
