The Mulberry Bush says it provides working families with a “unique childcare facility” and “accommodates the maximum government ‘free time’ for eligible 2 and 3-year olds and fills a childcare void that has been sorely lacking in the Bitterne Park area”.
It’s housed in what’s described as a “landmark building” designed by Londona and Winchester-based Dust Architecture.
Manager Lisa Coutinho said: “I am hugely excited by the opportunity to lead this amazing, brand new nursery. To be involved from the very beginning has given me the chance to use all my experience to embed the standards of care that I believe are so important.”
As reported, the Mulberry Bush Bitterne Park is the second development for the family-run business headed by husband and wife team Oliver and Rachael Thomson. Their first nursery in Locks Heath opened five years ago. It achieved a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating at its last inspection.
Interested families can attend open days in Bitterne Park on June 3 or July 1, from 2-5pm. Call 023 8235 1888 for more information.
