Whitworth appeal

street signAn appeal is being made to the Secretary of State against the council’s decision to refuse planning permission to demolish Harcourt Mansions at 74 Whitworth Crescent, and replace it with a block of flats.
The plans, rejected by the council in June, were widely opposed by locals, who want the street turned into a conservation area. Local councillors and John Denham MP have also opposed the proposals.

You can access the case on the government's Planning Portal here.  Documents, and facilities to comment (by October 12) are accessed via the link at the bottom of the page (scroll down - it's under the heading 'Documents'), although earlier comments made to the council will be passed on.
