Author Nicola Cornick, left, and literary blogger Charlie Place will be talking about Nicola’s historical fantasy novels and holding a Q&A session at Cobbett Hub & Library on Thursday, July 19.
Article continues after this message...
They'll be discussing:
- Travelling back in time
- Tudor mysteries yet to be solved
- Using the house you work at in your fiction and burning it down
- And heading a national writer's association
Copies of Nicola's books will be available to purchase and hot drinks will be provided in a "DIY fashion".
House of Shadows was published in 2015 to great acclaim; it tells the story of Elizabeth Craven nee Stuart, Queen of Bohemia, interwoven with the tale of a present-day mystery-solver who is looking to find out what happened to the 1700s house that burned down.
The Phantom Tree (2016) blends contemporary narrative with a story of Mary Seymour, the child of Katherine Parr, whose disappearance from records at the age of two history still cannot explain.
