A couple of hundred joined an anti-Trump rally and march that snaked around Southampton in the heat on Friday (June 13) – the day of the US president’s visit to the UK and of protests across the country.

The main banner simply read: 'Build Bridges'.
Addressing the rally by megaphone, Cllr Satvir Kaur (Lab), pictured below, said: “I absolutely love our city because at times like this we do all come together – all ages, all backgrounds, all religions – to stand united and say, you know what: we don’t like Trump. We don’t like what he stands for and he’s absolutely not welcome in our country.”
